India has the knowledge of removing Zinc from its ores since 4000 years.To extract it from ores has to be heated at 997C zinc melts but zinc vaporises and becomes gas at 1000C.There was a sophisticated technique for making it and for these many years we kept it secret .India was only the maker of zinc in the world.Technique was stoled by a Chinese and then by a British.Europe produced ONLY IN 1543 .Like India made the first rust proof Iron we can see it in-front of Qutab Minar .
